The "Cava Buscada" hiking refuge, at 1800 meters above sea level, is located in Val Zemola, in the heart of the Friulian Dolomites park, and is immersed in an enchanting landscape where peace and tranquility reign, amidst spectacular scenery for its landscape and its geological, floral and fauna aspects.

The shack that was once the shelter for the quarrymen who worked at the Quarry of Marble (active until 1994) has been expertly recovered by Gianpietro Corona. The renovations lasted from 2007 to 2010, the year the refuge was opened. The refuge now has 21 bunk beds in dormitory and a kitchen that serves typical dishes of the Friulian Dolomites.
